Cypripedium acaule can be found in the eastern third of the United States, particularly in the Great Lakes Region and the Northeast, south along the Appalachians to Alabama. Lucky us – It grows along the lake trail here.

 

geopsych was worried they were destroyed by the felling of a tree not long ago.

 

But they turned out to be away from that area. Plus we found them in another location. Yahtzee!
